Father David's sermons online Grace Church newsletter
The foundation of our faith is Jesus Christ. Scripture readings are an important part of our worship services, daily devotionals, and education as we come to know Him. If you do not have access to a Bible, please visit Blue Letter Bible which not only has a search feature, but also allows you to access the Biblical translation of your choice. Another Bible site: The Bible Gateway Online Searchable Bible, New International Version.

Prayer at Grace Church

Prayer is the power of our faith.
Without it we are so much straw in the
wind. We, of course, have formal
prayers at each of our services but that
can all too often be perfunctory. So in
addition, we have a prayer chain for
those urgent requests and we have a
prayer group that meets at 1:30 pm
each Wednesday in the Library. Twice
a month we have healing prayers with
the laying on of hands by parishioners
and anointing with oil immediately following the last service.
Most important of all are the prayer warriors in our midst
who are on their knees each day in the privacy of their daily
lives. God bless us one and all in these efforts.

Soup, Salad, and Study
Our Wednesday night study series begins again on
October 5th at 5:30 pm. We will be studying the Epistle to
the Hebrews. This is the least known book in the New
Testament Canon and one of three books that Martin
Luther wanted expunged from the Bible. When he made
his German translation he included the three books but
left them out of the Table of Contents. They were James,
Hebrews and Revelation.
This group enters into very lively discussions, enjoys great
fellowship and wonderful food which on occasion turns
into a veritable feasts!
Good health, physical and spiritual, requires that we
exercise our minds. This study group is a great
opportunity to do just that. Come, join the fun!
Prayer Group Continues
If two or three agree about anything they shall ask it will be
done by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are
gathered in my name there am I in the midst of them.
Each Thursday at 7:00 pm we gather in the Library to offer prayer,
thoughts and share scripture readings. The conveners are
Genaro and Esther Zamarripa. This is an ideal opportunity
to seriously pray in depth for our community, the needs of
others, and for our own special concerns. This gathering is
not limited to members of Grace Church so tell your
friends there is a place for serious prayer with miracles
following.
